Description: Alive pings a specified host and returns an "errorlevel" message indicating success or the reason for failure. Optional parameters can be set for the number of repeats and duration before timeout (defaults are set at five repeats and timeout after four seconds). The program will terminate with an "errorlevel 0" message when it senses a successful ping, regardless of the repeat value.

PCS DNS Utility Suite 3.6

Description: A collection of network diagnostic tools to help you find the IP address or hostname of a certain machine, scan a whole series of machines to find their IP addresses and hostnames or ping a remote machine to determine response time. You can traceroute to a machine to see where the connection passes through and how long each "hop" takes, or finger to see who is logged on at a particular machine and scan remote machine ports to determine what services the machine provides. The suite also displays your own computer's winsock and network information, such as local hostname, local IP address, adapters installed, MAC addresses, Winsock Stack version and location. The output from all tools can be saved to a text file for printing, diagnosis or for future reference.

PingStar 2.0
